Cops and Kids Auction December 9th 7 p.m. @ The 859 Tap Room

Florence Lodge 33 Fraternal Order of Police is happy to announce we will once again have our Cops and Kids Auction on December 9th at The 859 Taproom and Grill (8720 Bankers Street, Florence KY). This annual event helps us raise money for our Cops and Kids event which is also in December.

Cops and Kids is our annual event where officers take underprivileged children from our area shopping for Christmas gifts. Lodge 33 partners with several local businesses including Meijer, Chick-Fil-A Mall Road and Dave and Busters for a fun filled day of shopping and food and fun. Our annual auction helps us raise enough money to make Cops and Kids happen.

Chipping for Children Golf Outing Raises $7k for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital

Members of Florence Lodge 33 visited Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in July to present a donation to the Liver and Intestinal Transplant Department. Funds raised during our annual Chippin’ for Children Golf Outing exceeded all of our prior years which allowed for our largest donation to date, $7000.

The golf outing is one of our largest events each year and we are tremendously happy to be able to impact this important cause and the patients at Children’s in a positive way.

Lodge 33 is grateful to all of our participants, sponsors and our supportive community.

This year’s event will be held Friday, June 4th at the Eagle Creek Country Club in Crittenden, Kentucky. Registration begins at 8:00am, with tee-off at 9:00am.

Cops & Kids 2020

12/22/20 – COVID-19 did not keep Florence FOP 33 members from our annual Cops and Kids festivities, though they looked quite a bit different this year. Lodge 33 members, with the assistance of the Family Resource Centers at each public elementary school in Florence, identified families in need of some additional Christmas help and gathered shopping lists for the families. Our members then shopped in small groups, without the kids present this year to keep everyone safe and healthy. The gifts were wrapped with care before being delivered to the families homes with several mini police parades.

Along with the gifts provided by a very generous donation from Meijer in Florence, breakfast biscuits compliments of Chick-Fil-A Mall Road in Florence were also handed out. We would also like to thank the NKY Keepsake Collectors Club for their generous donation in support of the event. We extend our sincerest thanks to these organizations for their continued support of the Florence Police Department and the Fraternal Order of Police.
